Amiata Crochet Along
Nov 1st - 30th
Hosted by
I am so excited to make Amiata with you!
Here you will find all of the information that you need to join the CAL as well as gain access to the LIVE EVENTS and discounts on the PATTERN and YARN!
What is a CAL?
A CAL or Crochet Along is a virtual event in which makers from all around the world get together to work on the same pattern during a set period of time. There are usually live virtual events and lots of prizes to win!
About Amiata
The Amiata Pullover is the newest addition to a collection that honors the majestic landscapes surrounding iconic volcanoes, paired harmoniously with the Etna Tee, Vesuvius Tee and Sabatini Cardigan.
Amiata is made top-down with a drop-shoulder construction and has perfectly fitted shoulders to eliminate excess fabric around the underarms. The pullover features a textured and airy stitch that is light yet warm, a wide over-sized fit, tapered sleeves and a split high-low hem; all finished with an elegant ribbing. What sets Amiata apart is its commitment to size inclusivity ensuring that the shoulder drops gracefully in the same spot for all makers, irrespective of their size. The meticulous details woven into this pullover promise a timeless piece that you’ll find yourself reaching for time and time again.
Lookbook
The Lookbook includes all of the information you need in order to choose your size. It also includes information on each of the testers’ samples such as size made, yarn used and mods!
It’s a WONDERFUL source of inspiration!!

Sizes + Measurements
This pattern comes in 9 different sizes. The instructions for each size are color-coded and in the order shown here: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9).
When choosing a size, it is recommended to consider the finished measurements of the garment, desired ease and your actual body measurements. To do this, measure a garment that you like the fit of and make the size that more closely matches the measurements of that garment.
These are the approximate measurements of the finished item:
Bust1: 93.5 (102.5, 113.5, 122.5, 132) (142.5, 150, 161, 171) cm / 37 (40½, 44¾, 48¼, 52) (56¼, 59, 63¼, 67¾) in
Shoulder Width: 50.5 (52.5, 56.5, 59.5, 62.5) (63, 62.5, 66, 66) cm / 19¾ (20½, 22¼, 23½, 24½) (24¾, 24½, 26, 26) in
Neck Width (without ribbing neckline): 17.5 (17, 18.5, 18.5, 18.5) (19.5, 21.5, 22.5, 22.5) cm / 7 (6½, 7¼, 7¼, 7¼) (7¾, 8½, 8¾, 8¾) in
Front Neck Depth (without ribbing neckline): 12.5 (12.5, 14, 14, 14) (15, 15, 16.5, 16.5) cm / 5 (5, 5½, 5½, 5½) (6, 6, 6½, 6½) in
Sleeve Circumference: 32.5 (33.5, 35.5, 38, 41) (48, 51, 53.5, 56.5) cm / 13 (13¼, 14, 15, 16) (19, 20, 21, 22¼) in.
Body Length from underarm at front2: 24.5 (24.5, 23.5, 23.5, 21.5) (19.5, 19.5, 18.5, 17) cm / 9¼ (9½, 9¼, 9¼, 8¼) (7½, 7½, 7¼, 6¾) in for a cropped pullover and 39.5 (39.5, 38.5, 38.5, 36.5) (34.5, 34.5, 33.5, 32) cm / 15½ (15½, 15¼, 15, 14¼) (13½, 13½, 13, 12½) in for a full-length pullover.
Sleeve Length from underarm2: 42 (43, 43, 44.5, 44.5) (45.5, 45.5, 47, 47) cm / 16½ (17, 17, 17½, 17½) (18, 18, 18½, 18½)

2Adjustable to taste. Including cuff and hem.
Sample is size 4; model measures about 104 cm / 41 in around bust.

Yarn Substitutes
Any fingering weight yarn will work. Here are some I recommend based on their weight and fiber content. There are also some recommendations for warmer weather climates!
-
We Crochet, Stroll Fingering (75% Fine Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon)

-
Along Avec Anna, Merino (100% Superwash Merino Wool)
Gauge
22 sts x 8 pairs of rows worked flat after blocking = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in.
Stitch pattern for gauge, measuring a pair of sc/dc rows and a pair of sc/3-dc cl rows:
Ch odd number of sts.
Row 1: Ch1, sc to end, turn.
Row 2: Ch2, dc to end, turn.
Row 3: Ch1, sc to end, turn.
Row 4: Ch2, 2-dc cl in first st, ch1, sk1st, *3-dc cl, ch1, sk1st, rep from * to last st, 2-dc cl in last st, turn.
Repeat the 4-row pattern for the desired gauge swatch size.
On all Row 1 reps make sure to work into all sts and chsps alike.
Be sure to block and check gauge before starting by making a big enough gauge swatch (at least 15 x 15 cm / 6 x 6 in).
Certain materials might sag, and fabric may extend too much with drape, so adjust hook size appropriately.
