Meet Kayla Wood of @kaykrochets!
Kayla is a super talented designer from the US with a great eye for color, texture and fit. She has loads of crochet patterns that are suited for all levels and I really appreciate how she doesn’t stay clear of a challenge designing things with texture and cables that look incredibly beautiful and complex but also look like they are entirely worth the effort. On the other side of the coin, some of her simpler designs are everyday staples. But regardless of the design, they are all super wearable!
Hi there! I’m Kayla. The crochet designer behind Kay Krochets! I’m a Bible believer, wife, mom of 3, and crochet designer. I enjoy exploring the great outdoors, trying new things, playing games with the fam, snacking, and, you guessed it, crocheting! Most days you’ll find me at the dining table homeschooling my kiddos or on the couch with a wip in my hands.
How it all started: I picked up a hook for the first time in the summer of 2016, while pregnant with our first and taught myself the basics from YouTube tutorials. I quickly started selling custom goods (which mainly consisted of newborn photoshoot props) but after about a year of doing that, I realized that creating what others wanted me to create made me lose my passion for the craft. So, I decided to take on designing!
