Every 5 cm / 2 in of added length in the body will add approx 95 (105, 120, 130) (140, 155, 165) (175, 185, 200)m / 105 (115, 130, 140) (155, 170, 180) (190, 205, 220) yds of yarn.

Alternative Yarns

Any fingering weight yarn will work. Here are some I recommend based on their weight and fiber content:

Main gauge

23 sts x 8.5 pairs of rows = 10 cm / 4in
In patt worked flat with a 4 mm hook after blocking

Swatch Instructions

Stitch pattern for gauge, measuring a pair of sc/LdcFLO rows:

Ch as many as desired – recommend a minimum of 35.

Row 1: Ch1, sc to end, turn.

Row 2: Ch1, dc in the first st, LdcFLO to last st, Ldc in the last st, turn.

Repeat the 2-row pattern for the desired gauge swatch size.

Be sure to block and check gauge before starting by making a big enough gauge swatch (at least 15 x 15 cm / 6 x 6 in).

Certain materials might sag, and fabric may extend too much with drape, so adjust hook size appropriately.
