Pattern Details
Sizes + Measurements
This pattern comes in 8 different sizes ranging a large spectrum of bodies. The instructions for each size are color-coded and in the order shown here: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8).
When choosing size, it is recommended to use your hip measurement as a reference and to choose a size that has between 5 to 20 cm / 2 – 8 in of positive ease around hips.
These are the approximate measurements of the finished item:
- Circumference at Hips: 88 (100, 112, 128, 140) (152, 163.5, 175.5) cm / 34 ¾ (39 ½, 44, 50 ½, 55) (59 ¾, 64 ½, 69) in
- Width at Shoulders (without sleeves): 73.5 (79.5, 85.5, 92.5, 98) (105.5, 111, 117) cm / 29 (31 ¼, 33 ½, 36 ½, 38 ¾) (41 ½, 43 ¾, 46) in
- Sleeve Length1: 27 (26, 26, 25, 23) (21, 20, 20) cm / 10 ½ (10 ¼, 10 ¼, 9 ¾, 9) (8 ¼, 8, 8) in

1 Adjustable size to taste.
Sample is size 4; model measures about 123 cm / 48½ in around hips.
Materials
YARN
Fingering weight yarn (size 1)
Approx 1460 (1570, 1690, 1870, 1980) (2135, 2260, 2415) m / 1600 (1715, 1845, 2050, 2165) (2335, 2470, 2640) yds total for a cardigan as schematics.
Every 10 cm / 4 in of added length in the body will add approx 165 (185, 205, 240, 260) (280, 305, 325) m / 180 (205, 225, 260, 285) (305, 330, 355) yds of yarn.
Yardage provided includes 5% extra for swatching and margin of error. Adjust amounts for desired length.
Yarn used in the sample:
Eden Cottage Yarns, Keld Fingering
(90% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Linen, 100g, 360 m / 393 yds) in colorway Tide. Approx 5 (5, 5, 6, 6) (7, 7, 7) balls of Keld Fingering will be needed.
Alternative Yarns
Any fingering weight yarn will work – keep in mind that yarn content will affect drape and warmth levels.

- Sirdar, Country Classic 4 Ply (50% Merino Wool, 50% Acrylic)
- Knit Picks, Twill Fingering (100% Merino Superwash Wool)
- Cascade Heritage, Solids (75% Merino Wool, 25% Nylon)
HOOKS
4.5 mm Tunisian crochet hook, or size needed to meet gauge, using a 60 – 100 cm cable for the body; 3.5 mm traditional crochet hook for edgings.
NOTIONS
tapestry needle, minimum 6 stationary stitch markers, scissors.
Gauge
17 sts x 20 rows in lace pattern worked flat after blocking = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in.
One diamond lace pattern repeat (10 sts x 20 rows) worked flat after blocking = 5.9 x 10 cm / 2 ¼ x 4 in.
