Yarn used in the sample:
Short Sleeve sample used Brooklyn Tweed, Peerie (100% American Merino Wool; 50g; 210 yds / 192 m) in colorways A: Klimt (yellow), B: Treehouse (dark green), C: Nocturne (grey), D: Mesa (pink), E: Burnished (brown), F: Aurora (green), G: Cassis (burgundy).
Peerie has now been discontinued, but a great substitute is Brooklyn Tweed, Tones Light (100% Columbia wool from Wyoming, 50g; 225 yds / 206 m).
To match cropped sample with short sleeves, here are the approximate amounts for each color:
A: 85 (95, 110, 115, 120) (135, 140, 145, 155) m / 95 (105, 115, 125, 130) (145, 155, 160, 170) yds.

Long Sleeve sample used many different scraps of fingering weight yarn from stash.
Alternative Yarns
Any fingering weight yarn will work, but here are some I love and recommend:

- Cascade Heritage, Solids (75% Merino Wool, 25% Nylon)
- Sirdar, Country Classic 4 Ply (50% Merino Wool, 50% Acrylic)
- Knit Picks, Twill (100% Fine Superwash Merino Wool)
- MillaMia, Naturally Baby Soft (50% Cotton, 50% Soy)
Main gauge
Swatch Instructions
- Short Sleeve Gauge: 21 sts x 25 rows = 10 cm / 4 in worked with 4 mm hook in sc flat.
- Long Sleeve Gauge: 21 sts x 13 rows = 10 cm / 4 in worked with 3.5 mm hook in dc flat.
Use your gauge swatch to familiarise yourself with the Mosaic Crochet technique when following these kinds of charts. You can use any of the charts included in the pattern to obtain your gauge or work the Brickroad Table Set tutorial that I have included in my blog.
Be sure to block and check gauge before starting by making a big enough gauge swatch (at least 15 x 15 cm / 6 x 6 in).
Certain materials might sag, and fabric may extend too much with drape, so adjust hook size appropriately.
Always block your swatch for more accurate results.
